2 years ago today, February 28th - On the last day of the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, Team Canada won Olympic Hockey Gold. With a 2-1 lead in late the 3rd, Canada was sure to win. But, with 24.4 seconds remaining in regulation, USA’s Zach Parise tied the game, sending the two nations to overtime to battle it out, with Gold on the line. I’m sure that by 8:40 into OT, everyone’s memories were a blur of jumping, cheering, and screaming at the unbelievable words of, “IGINLA, CROSBY- SCOOOOOOORES! SIDNEY CROSBY!!! THE GOLDEN GOAL!!! AND CANADA WINS OLYMPIC HOCKEY GOLD!!!”
